ACCOMMODATION

BOOKINGS
Block bookings have been made at the following hotels to secure reduced rates. Your accommodation needs to be booked at the time of registration and NOT direct with the hotels to use the conference rates.  Early bookings are advised.

Rates include GST (Australian Goods and Services Tax) and are quoted on a per room per night basis and do not include breakfast unless specified.

DEPOSIT
Accommodation will not be confirmed until a minimum deposit of one night’s tariff* is received. This deposit will be forwarded to your hotel and will be credited to your room account. You may also pre-pay your total accommodation if preferred otherwise delegates must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check out. If accommodation deposits are not received before 20 June 2009 your room will be released back to the hotel. The Secretariat does not take responsibility for accommodation if deposits are not received by this date.  Accounts for payment will not be issued by the hotel unless you have made prior arrangements to do so. 
*Quests Apartments require full pre-payment.

DEADLINE FOR ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS
The Secretariat has an obligation to return all unsold rooms to the hotels/apartments on 20 June 2009, therefore accommodation bookings and rates reserved after that date cannot be guaranteed. The rates quoted are only valid for bookings made prior to 20 June 2009. Late bookings can be made through the Secretariat after 20 June 2009, but are subject to availability and credit card details are required to secure the reservation. One or all night’s accommodation as per the hotels booking policy will be deducted from the supplied credit card, by the hotel, if the reservation is cancelled or the delegate fails to arrive on the specified date.

CANCELLATIONS
Accommodation deposits will only be refunded after 20 June 2009 at the hotel's discretion.

CHANGE OF BOOKING
Prior to 19 July, 2009, any changes to bookings MUST be made through the Conference Secretariat.  After this date, please contact the relevant hotel directly and advise the Conference Secretariat of the change as soon as possible.

EARLY ARRIVALS & LATE DEPARTURES
All requests for early check-in and late checkout will be passed on to the respective hotels however no guarantees can be made. Check-in is usually after 2:00pm and checkout by 10:00am. If you are arriving prior to 2.00pm and wish to be guaranteed immediate access to your room you can pay an extra day’s tariff for the night before you are due to arrive. If you wish to take this precaution, please advise the secretariat on the registration form so that we can notify the hotel that your room is pre-registered.  Please indicate if you will arrive at your hotel after 1800 as failure to do so might result in your room being released.

SHARING & BEDDING PREFERENCE
You may wish to share with a fellow conference delegate.  If so please advise us on your registration form who.  

Please also advise us of your room and bedding preference (for example, whether you want one queen or two single beds, or a third person on a sofa bed)

Single Room: One person in one single or double/queen bed
