Jane Yeaman

Managing Director

Jane has been involved in tourism and conference management for over 24 years. Jane has completed a Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management (with a major in Tourism and a double minor in Accounting and Computing) and a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management. Jane regularly attends industry educational events, including the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Congresses, the Professional Convention Management Association Annual Congresses in the USA and the Professional Conference Organisers Australia (PCOA) Conferences. Jane has evolved to become a very widely-respected event planner with many clients and committees choosing to work with her on an ongoing basis.

Sarah Robinson

General Manager

In early 2007, Sarah joined Tulips as an Event Manager, before becoming General Manager. Previously she worked in the UK as a conference manager for SPS Conferences and the Institute of Electrical Engineers (now the Institute of Engineering and Technology) as an event assistant. She completed a BSc in Zoology at the University of Liverpool in 2002. She has organised events throughout Europe and since joining Tulips across Australia. Sarah is a creative and energetic event professional; offering over twenty years management experience in environments where professional organisational skills are required. Including: overseeing staff, clientele, contractors, media, budgeting, sponsorship and key components of event management from small to large-scale events. Sarah possesses excellent time management, attention to detail and organisational skills with an ability to work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous and competing deadlines.

Gemma Evans

Event Manager

Gem joined the Tulips Meeting Management team in August 2017, after completing several tertiary qualifications, including Bachelor of Business (Convention & Event Management) (Distinction Level), Diploma of Hospitality (Resort Management) (Distinction Level) and Diploma of Event Management (Distinction Level). She has also studied marketing, human resources and work health and safety at TAFE. As an Event Manager, she joins the team with 5 years’ experience in events and ticketing operations. Gem has worked as a Ticketing Agent at Newcastle Entertainment Centre for four years, spent two years working as Admin & Events Coordinator for Eclipse Communications and interning at AEG Odgen’s Perth Arena. She loves all things relating to events, logistics and systematic processes, nothing phases her from creating event documentation, to ticketing, to security, to contractor/ supplier engagement and liaison – Gem loves to solve problems in innovative ways! Her positive outlook and outgoing personality are reflected in her interactions as she manages our client’s expectations, communicates with suppliers and liaises with various event stakeholders. Gem is an excellent site manager, during event bump in and bump out, and we are pleased to have her as often the first and last person our suppliers and clients see or speak to, leaving a fabulous impression. When she is not in the office, Gem is never home – she can regularly be found travelling abroad, on an interstate adventure, at a concert or exploring her passion for food.
